I have had the privilege and honour to represent residents in Hurley and Walthams Ward for 16 years. I have worked with the Village Associations and Parish Councils and our residents to help protect this most beautiful Ward in the Green Belt from overdevelopment which as Chairman of the Neighbourhood Plan, this ensures.
Every issue in this Ward is important to me whether it is working for the resident who has council tax issues, the excess traffic going through our rural roads, problems with communicating with the council, unauthorised planning issues etc. I regard a councillor is elected to help all residents with whatever council issue they have and to be accessible when contacted.
I have had a varied career. I moved to Maidenhead 45 years ago when I was working for British Airways. Previously, I was a Secretary in a large industrial company and then a nurse both in Liverpool before moving to London for BA. Having married, I worked for my husband in his tool shop in Knowl Hill and during the recession in the 90’s opened our house up for B&B.
I have two children and 5 grandchildren living in Maidenhead.
