The history of the Houses of Parliament spans over 900 years from the Anglo-Saxons to the present. It is one of the most famous and historic buildings in the entire world and is home to the House of Commons and House of Lords, which preside over the law-making in the United Kingdom.
From William II (William the Conqueror's son) to Elizabeth II, the history of the palace spans centuries with countless tales of intrigue, politics and drama. The building where Edmund Burke, William Pitt, Robert Peel, Benjamin Disraeli, Winston Churchill and Margaret Thatcher all spent time debating as MPs is an amazing place to visit and learn more about.
